”Pouishunoff must have been well into his seventies when he made this record, and one can but marvel that his technique and control are still so sure. Indeed it is more from poise of the playing than from fluffed notes that one might guess that this was a very mature artist. These are all enjoyable performance, a little on the cool side perhaps, but with a precise mind behind them. The piano tone is good, and as the programme is not especially hackneyed and the best performance of all is of the attractive Rondo in E♭, this disc may be cordially welcomed".(Penguin Guide to Bargain Records 1966)
