The Boscorosso name means “red woods” in Italian, and it is also a name given to some Italian wine varieties. It is not hard to imagine the comparison to a fine glass of wine when you see the large amount of dark red pulp in Boscorosso. Boscorosso has black skin that can also have a hazy, gray cast to it. It usually has a long neck and is a common variety, not requiring wasp pollination. Boscorosso produces 2 crops, and will have you enjoying figs all season long.
